What is a Pollinator Pathway?

Imagine public and private pesticide-free corridors of native plants that provide nutrition and habitat for pollinating insects and birds. Even the smallest green spaces, like flower boxes and curb strips, can be part of a pathway!

About the PPCC

The Pollinator Pathway Cape Cod (PPCC) is a regional initiative to increase those pollinator-friendly habitats and food sources for bees, butterflies, hummingbirds and other pollinating insects and wildlife across Cape Cod.

Founded in 2021 by nine organizations, including the Master Gardeners Association of Cape Cod, the initiative now includes over 50 Participating Organizations. Each of these organizations, like the MGACC, is working to educate towns, businesses, organizations, and home gardeners on the importance of creating pollinator friendly landscapes, engage them in the project, and demonstrate the beauty of such gardens through highly visible demonstration gardens

The PPCC Goal

Empower homeowners, community organizations, and towns across the Cape to create corridors of native trees, shrubs, and flowers that birds, bees, butterflies, and other insects can rely on as they travel throughout Cape Cod.

Master Gardeners are available to speak about the PPCC regional initiative and what actions home gardeners can take to support pollinators. Contact our Speaker Bureau and request a master gardener speaker at your future event.
