Master Gardeners Assisting in School Gardening
Education is the primary focus of all master gardening activities. And what better forum than our local community schools! We work with children of all ages during the school day or after school, and can provide assistance with programs such as pollinator gardens, rain gardens, and vegetable gardens. Teachers use the garden as hands-on learning for various educational subjects.
What We Can Do for Your School
- Work with you and your students planting, maintaining, and harvesting your vegetable gardens.
- Work with you and your students planning, planting, and maintaining pollinator, sensory or rain gardens.
- Master Gardeners can be used as guest speakers, teaching key gardening concepts and skills.
Key Gardening Concepts Include:
- Proper use of tools
- Soil composition
- Proper nutrients for the soil
- Seeds
- Germination
- What plants need to grow
- Insects
- Pollination

Is a horticultural message an integral part of your event theme?
