Supporting Local Students
The Master Gardener Association of Cape Cod is pleased to announce that it will be offering multiple scholarships and tool-ships to deserving students residing in Barnstable County. Qualifying college bound students will receive scholarships of $2,500. Tool-ships totaling $1,500 and $500 will be awarded to deserving students in our local Barnstable County Technical Schools.
Individuals applying for this scholarship must be pursuing a degree in the field of agriculture, horticulture or a related natural resource field and the scholarship funds must be applied to the payment of tuition or room and board. Application Deadline is April 1, 2026.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. He/she must be a current high/tech school senior or enrolled in college majoring in agriculture, horticulture, or a related natural resource field.
2. He/she must be a resident of Barnstable County.
3. The application must be submitted on the approved form and must be accompanied by a one-page typed statement, the most recent official high school or official college transcript and three letters of reference.
The Scholarship Committee of the Master Gardener Association of Cape Cod will review the applications and select the scholarship recipients. College and graduate student award recipients will receive their award upon notification by the Committee. High school and tech school student award recipients will receive their award upon receipt of the 2026 fall semester official college transcript showing “good academic standing”.
